tranny swap

my automatic tranny just went bad and i want to swap to a manual transmission. Has anyone done this before or know of a kit i can buy???

awesome setup there man...need to possibly get into building the MTX75 in a guide somewhere :) i've been trying to find something about all the possible things one can do to beef it up. So far it looks like that site will answer a lot of questions on some of the bigger projects.

Make sure to replace the crank sensor before putting the tranny in thats the best advice I can give believe me I know .

I doubt it.....the ECU pinout between the an Auto and a Manual is different, so the computer and car will not be able to comunicate......to the best of my knowledge the only thing an SCT or aftermarket chip will do is overide the computer settings, don't think you can change the system of what pin it send it to.......I think I typed that correct

i really dont know...
he just made the swap...
he bought the ecu BUT he dindt used it since he dindt have a key...
he is missing the tranny ecu...so he have a switch to disable the neutral switch...

The ECU can be made to "skip" the auto functions. The only thing that is missing is the switch "pio" pointed out.
