06 zx3 trying for 2.3 head swap

I just want to keep my bases covered. It seems my lifters are clicking on my 2.0 head, so i am just going to end up throwing a 2.3 head on it. i want to keep the 2.3 intake manifold and maybe go with some cosworth stage 1 performance cams.
I am wondering what else will i need to do to the 2.3 head/ or my block to bolt the head right on.

Nice choice. I think you might need an aftermarket IM. Either the cossie or knockoff. Get a tune and let us know what kind of power increase you get!

The 23 manifold uses a imtv wheres the 20 doesn't. Use the 20 manifold or the cossie. As far as lifters clicking= they are solid lifters w/ clearence you know. You add a 23 head & your still going to have the solid lifters. How many miles on the motor? How is your imrc= tumble flaps? To install a head= head gasket, I'd get new head bolts, I'd go for a set of cranes over the cossie's. Add a tune, a header & a sri/cai.

The stroke length has nothing to do w/ what head you install.

You have a clearence there= like .08 on the intake & .10 on the exhaust. You'll have to look that up. I answered your post above^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

I think this thread should be moved to 'Duratec Performance'. Anyway, if you go with an aftermarket IM, which donor cars share the D23 head that is the same as the Focus D23 head? Would the Fusion, Escape, etcetera have the exact same head(just the intake manifold is different)?
