Smooth seam runner vs raised seam runner

I'm looking for an engine for my 03 zx3 focus and I'm asked if its a smooth seam runner or a raised seam runner. I'm pretty sure this has to do with the intake manifold but does anyone know anything else about the diffence between the two and which one I have a need?
Also has anyone dealt with buying parts or a motor from car-parts.com?

Thanks!

Damn your way north I was going to recomened carconnectionohio.com in middletown, ohio. I just bought a zetec with all the fixins, to do a spi to zetec swap for $500. They have 8 or 9 zetecs sitting ranging from $350-$800, but the guy just got in a complete '02 ZX5 and said anything you want off it (for the engine swap) it's yours for $500. I'm not sure the difference in the two, it does have to do with the intake though. If you get a engine for the same year as your car you shouldn't have a issue at all.

Yeah im up in the Akron area. On car-parts.com there where a lot of engines for sale close so i think I'm gonna go the route of buying the same year motor and everything. Hopefully I wan't have too many issues this being my first engine swap but i got my dad whos a genius with cars to help me. Just gotta find some free time to do it haha!

This is going to be my first swap too. I've just been asking around as to what all I need. If forget the little things I have friends with lots of extra parts. Good luck!
