Check this out

duratec swap faq and answers

I just recently did the swap. My 2007 2.0 duratec engine and trans dropped right into my 2001 body without cutting anything or welding. You WILL need the entire harness for the car from the 2005 model. You will need the air bags, cluster, HVAC controls, seat belts, air bag module, pcm, keys that match the PCM.
