911...SVT Engine needed

I'm sorry if I am posting this in the wrong thread. I am in need of SVT help. I wanted to cry when the wife blew my engine the other day when we were moving to our new home. I had it towed to a certified mechanic and was told that basically what happened was it threw the serpentine belt, and the engine overheated to the point that it warped the headers. I'm trying to decide if it's worth fixing or if I should just start parting it out. Other than the engine everything else is in great condition. So I'm either looking for an engine or selling parts. Any advice is appreciated.

I think it all depends on:
1:How much you like the car?
2:Do you have the finances available?

For 1 plain and simple does this car hold a value that you cant put a price on?
For 2 Do you have the ability to purchase a new car with all its added cost, insurance, gas, etc. And if you buy used the maintence cost to get it reliable to go along with that.
Just some things to think about.

Personally i say take the head and block to a machine shop. Have them figure out the warp of the head and block and see if its fixable. Even if they have to take a good amount off of the head and block you can buy from c-f-m.com a thicker gasket to take up the amount milled off, hopefully.

The block should be fine considering its cast iron. Pull the head and get it checked. If it can be milled, you can get a thicker head gasket, or keep the cr bump and get a tune.
