spi atx --> zetec mtx swap

Hey everybody, I'm new to the forums, and a fairly new focus owner. My 01 spi dropped #4 valve seat 3 weeks ago, and my nice focus has been just sitting in my driveway. I feel so burned by this spi motor that I want to upgrade to the zetec, which I read lots of good things about! I am starting this thread to get help with and help others do a complete motor/tranny swap. I really like the Focus, because I feel like it's a good platform car. Also, I got the inspiration from reading all the detailed guides already posted on here, so thank you to everyone who posts that stuff!! More to come soon....

thanks,
Kyle

Well, and update! I am very capable of doing the swap, but somebody offered me a 1000 for the car. That is with the stock wheels put back on. I will keep the aftermarket wheels, because the guy doesn't particularly want them. I still like the car, and I like Focus community, so I go back and forth on the issue. I was thinking of just buying a ZX3, ZX4 or ZTS, or even an SVT. any opinions?
