Arrow Engine Switch ?

O.k here's the run down. I have a 2001 zetec. I put on a JRSC at 30k and have been upgrading and autocrossing ever since. It how has 105k and except for bigger injectors, copper core spark plugs, aem intake and borla exhaust, the engine itself is stock. I recently brought it to my buddy for servicing and he told me that I definitely need ARP head studs because my head gasket was blown and a lot of oil was mixing with coolant. Also my egr was completely open due to the vacum line apparently falling off because it was no where to be found ! amoung some other small issues, the transmission and everything else is in good condition due to scheduled services on a regular. My buddy said that its not going to be if the stock engine will go but when. He said he can fix all these problems but I should start looking into a new engine. What do you guys think ? Im only putting out 8-9 lbs of boost and when not autocrossing, I dont beat on my focus. A cosworth cnc ported head alone costs around $3,000 ! Would I be o.k just changing out pistons, rods, springs, cam shaft, cams with my old zetec ?
