SPI and trans swap

I'm pulling the engine and tranny from a 2002 and putting it in a 2001, both have the spi, do i need to change the computer also or will that not matter since they are the same engine?

I need to separate the engine and trans (automatic) to pull the engine out the top. The manual does not mention the torque converter but forums say i need to unbolt it. Do they need to be removed to separate the tranny and if so how does it unbolt?

off topic, but please get new and improved valve seats pressed in from a good machine shop. these cars drop valve seats from 70k-120k. you'd be wise to do so.

They are 15mm hex. They are on the disc (4 of them) under the little cover that is under the exhaust pipe bracket, right?
I'm at that point now. How do I rotate the torque converter disc in the auto transmission to reveal the other 3 bolts?

put a socket on the crankshaft pulley and rotate it(clockwise i believe). the pulley is the one coming out of the block hooked up to your serpentine belt (passenger side)

Good deal. My crank pulley was a little tough to move at first so I wanted to make sure it was the right way to go. Got the bolts off. Thanks for the help.
