Tracer Zetec?

I have a 99 tracer auto with the spi engine in it.I went to pull a part today and found a ford focus mach audio edition.Still had the motor n trans harness etc in it. i was just wondering if it would be worth it to put it in my car?I read the SPI engines arent the greatest so it was just a thought.Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I've been wanting to do this for a while... I wanted to put the zetec in an older escort or tracer. It would definately be a fun project. I know of a guy in the area here that did it. I never talked to him after I met him at the track a few years back but he used to be on the TeamZx2 Forums a lot. He was building I think it was a 92 escort with a Zetec Swap. I'd think it'd be a pretty simple swap other than getting the gauges and other instruments to work. All the engine mounts and just about everything else is cose to the same

sure? if that's the engine out of the mazda 323 gtx... I don't even know if you'll be able to find an engine without having one shipped. but i used to know of a guy that ran it in an Escort. It was pretty amazing. I'm sure there's still youtube videos of him at the track.

however if you already have the zetec... then you've already got an awesome swap. just throwing up ideas ive had in my head for a while i guess

ok yes the bpt engine... there's one on ebay. But I'm sure for the money you'll like the zetec better.
