01 SPI to V8/RWD Swap

Okay so the wife gave the approval to let me do this swap. I have already contacted Kugel Components of Florida and they have given me a list of everything I need to do this (minus the parts I can get aftermarket).

Is there anyone on here that has done this swap and would you have any pointers/info? I am planning on using the 3V 4.6L Mustang GT motor w/ a C4 and 8.8 rear any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thats awsome I would always recommend getting rid of the SPI, but I have heard that our focuses/foci chassis doesnt respont well. There are plenty of threads and videos if you search for them, but just to give you more options (that can be easier , save you more gas , less stress head ache and easier) I would drop a duratec 2.3 ltr engine and turbo it. Youwouldnt have it RWD but its an option. But

But I give you props and wish you the beat on any route you go.

And welcome to the forums. :)

Hey Thanks.

I have looked into the turbo on either the duratec or zetec. It's just so common- I want to do something different. I just think that a RWD/V8 Focus would be totally badass and the perfect sleeper. I did plan on needing to do some reinforcing on the frame/subframe. I also plan on caging it since these things (with a properly tuned N/A motor) can easily run in the 10's. Hopefully all of this will make the car somewhat easier to handle once completed.
