Smog for a DOHC swap? Where to buy the parts?

Hello All,
Typical first post coming, sorry!
I have read just about every SOHC to DOHC swap thread that I have found for the last few days. The work does not bother me, but the legal implications have me a bit worried. Iíd like to hear from some California Smog Referee survivors. What were the big issues they found if any? Do I need to start with a California DOHC car (ECU, intakes, exhaust, etc.)?
The second thing I canít find; are there any vendors that sell a kit of sorts? In the 4.6L world you can buy everything you need to build a Factory Five Cobra on a pallet. Does anyone sell all the parts stripped from a Focus?
Iím searching for a wrecked DOHC Focus in the Northern California Bay Area. I have a nice clean 2001 sedan that I want to build to be reliable. If I canít get the motor, ecu, harness, etc pretty easily Iíll start looking at a remanufactured SOHC. Any tips on a vendor for those? I havenít spent much time seeing if the dropped valve seat is preventable yet. I guess that is the next search.
Sorry for the newbie first post. Iíll keep digging when I get home from work.

Like several already stated- you have to change ALOT of things to swap to a different engine. The mounting locations are the same in 1st and 2nd Gen.. as are the axles and transmissions, but for the svt swap there are diffences in the clutch and flywheel depth from the zetec. If you do decide to go for gold and SVT swap it, I may still have a bunch of parts to sell to you for the swap. I'm going duratec with my SVT- so I have everything except the engine for your swap.. But my advice is buy a totalled out focus that still runs, and swap everything over to yours. Totalled Foci don't go for much- less than the 2g you plan to spend on a motor. Other wise plan to spend another 2g for all the parts to complete the swap. Just my $ .02

Well the Zetec in the Focus has an EGR system. And if you do the conversion just make sure to get a PCM with Cali-emissions. If you run into any issues feel free to ask or pm me as i have done this conversion quite a few times.
