Alternate Engine Placement

I have what might be kind of an unusual question and hopefully it's the appropriate forum for it; if not I apologize. Let's say I wanted to build a custom vehicle utilizing the 2.3l duratec engine and trans axle, but put it into a rear/mid engine configuration. What problems would I encounter by taking the front wheel drive setup and moving it straight back to the rear, essentially making a rear wheel drive, rear/mid engine car. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance.

meant to ask earlier but my phone died... are you working on a sandrail? Just use the front wheel drive system along with the mount and build the frame to mount to that.
