SO, if the brits can do it, whats stopping us??

Not that i'm looking into this seriously or anything...lol I'm just curious

Around how much would this rb swap with an awd conversion cost? I know you can pick up a used rb for like 3 or 4k and there's been talk of awd on here before but i've never seen a legit price range for it. And i would assume custom engine/trans mounts, relocating all the reservoirs, etc. Perhaps even moving the firewall back to accomodate an inline 6? seems like some pretty intense work to me.

Basically along the lines of this, http://www.superstreetonline.com/fea...b/viewall.html

i"ll thell what stopping most. people dont want to cut the floor out of the car to clear driveshafts, or make custom subframes to mount skyline stuff. lets put it this way. jstu the work to get to rolling chassis state will cost more than the car's value and the engines (if your having a shop do it) on top of that it should get a cage welded in to keep whats left of your focus shell roughly straight after you cut a big hole down the center, not to mention requiring a fuel cell (since the custom subframe and rear diff now use where that used to sit, oh and lets not forget the nissan to ford wiring harness nightmare you've just made for yourself. aldo getting it registered and inspected (if you plan to drive it on the street) it can be done, but the cash could be better spent on something that's already that nuts, or slick tires and a lot of trackdays.
MR. freaking negative
i'm not an enthusiast...... the internets told me.

Always nice too look at. Definitley been posted 3 years ago.

Original thread:
Rb26dett Awd Focus!!!!!!!

There's a great story about...must read

Why the RB26DETT? To be honest my friend Ricky Blatchford started to build this car but lost his fight to cancer. I've completed the build to how he wanted as a tribute. The reason for the RB26DETT is, a R33 GTR Skyline was crashed and writen off and was up for sale. So what do you do? Let the car be sold for spares or try to do something with it!!.
The idea was to do something different.
The car is 4wd and pulls good.
