SPI to Zetec

I bought a 2001 focus in great shape running perfect for 900 bucks and after a few months and about 5k miles it dropped a valve seat in #4 and is toast.

After doing some reading here I am going to swap the SPI for the Zetec.
Auto to Auto.

One thing I could not find is:

Is my spi car exhaust going to bolt up to the zetec header??
Right before the engine died I put a whole new exhaust on it from the Header back.
If not what do I need to do.

Going to start this week 06/06/11

Any other suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Joe

One more thiing.

I think I found the answer to my exhaust question.

I guess I need the zetec header and cat.

Also, since I am going from spi to zetec does it matter if the ztec is a smooth seam runner or rased seam runner?

I have seen stuff about this but not sure what it means.

Also, I have seen a few people say that the SPI ECU will work with the Zetec.
Do I just plug the Zetec harness into my ecu and use it?

Please help.

I want to start this week.

Joe

The SPI ECU and the ECU wiring will not work for the Zetec. That wiring harness runs from under the hood, to the ECU, and back to the fuel pump. If you have an automatic it also runs over to the shifter. You will need to have your keys programed to the Zetec ECU after the swap.
