ZETEC from an automatic into a standard

Does anything need to be changed over like fuel injectors, pressure regulator, throttle body or anything else? I know I'll have to de the engine harness.
Had to change a few things when I did a 3.0 from automatic to a standard in my Ranger so not sure about ZETEC.

Brother totaled his ZX3 so I'm swapping his motor and interior into mine. 220,000 miles on mine and 87,000 on his so it works out pretty well for me.

Will be parting out my interior and his Focus soon.

you can re-wire the harness instead of swapping if you feel like doing that. other then that if your swaping motor and tranny then its pretty much
1.)run new harness/ecu/locks/ignition cylinder
2.)mod old harness
3.) install pedals/shifter/tripod mount/master cylinder/reservoir/clutch line into your car.

You can't expect a ton of replies at 12-3am unless you want replies from peeps on a binge. If you'll read above, Ford Focus Technical Chat is for technical discussions relating to general maintenance, electrical issues, engine trouble, and recalls.

We have a forum dedicated to Engine and Transmission swaps. It's good for you that you have the whole car because thats what we recommend. There are multiple threads on the subject. Focus transmissions are referred to as MTX=manual, and ATX=automatic.

Moved to Engine and Transmission Swap forum.

or you can take your chip out of your key and put his chip in your key and swap out your pats transceiver and ecu for his and it will work. The pats transceiver is a little black ring that goes around the ignition cylinder.

wait a sec... are you just swappig engines? I just did a swap from a focus with an mtx to an atx.....the engine itself is identical although the years were different. because the yrs were different there was a cpl of things that didnt match up exactly so because I had the other engine out we pulled and swapped things from that one and everything was o.k. unless you are planning to actually convert your car from an automatic to a manual or vice versa you dont have to do anything else other than take one out and put one back in.

I dont think you read it right. I'm taking the motor out of a ZX3 that has an automatic and putting it into my ZX3 which has a manual transmission.

What does this have to do with putting a motor from one Focus into another Focus?? Re read my OP. I'm only swapping to motor.

Then you don't have to change anything at all, except clutches.
