Tranny "ticking/knocking" noise at idle

So my tranny (mtx75) is making almost what sounds like a engine knock at idle, if I push the clutch in then it goes away until I let the clutch out again and it returns. It also goes away once you give the car gas, and when you let off the gas Im pretty sure it returns faintly (exhaust too loud, lol)...I've read it could be some bearings, mainly the throwout bearing. But I havent found a reply thats 100% sure what the problem is..Im running a Fidanza lightweight flywheel and a Centerforce clutch also if it matters.

I know you cant really say 100% what the problem is but anything is helpful. Just want to know what Im hearing everytime the car is idling..thanks!

you said it. fidanza fly wheel. my svt does the same and so does everone elses. its almost like its unlucky if it doesnt. for some reason they do that. im not a expert on it but i think it has something to do with the weight or something.

yeah i know the feeling. i was so pissed after i put in my fidanza flywheel and clutch master clutch only to hear it rattleing like something wasnt put in right. but low and behold after checking on here its what they do. i thought the clutch slave cylinder/throw out bearing was also bad at frist.

yeah I thought it was the throwout bearing as well after reading some online posts which kind of angered me as I just had the tranny out and apart maybe 4k ago lol I didnt feel like doing it all again, especially with no garage

actaully, i was thinking about this, but, does the ticking noise vary w/ rpm? or vehicle speed?

Every car with an aluminum flywheel I have ever driven has done that. Its the nature of the beast. You should hear my buddy's ZO6, loudest I have ever heard. Aluminum flywheels are not quiet.
