Exclamation 05' Focus zx3 manuel to automatic swap

ok I know most of you are going to read this and wonder why i want to get auto in my car over manuel.. Reason being my sisters car took a dump and she wants to take over payments on my car (which i need) and the only way to make it official is for me to get this thing automatic.

ok.. so what all do i need to get/do to make it automatic over manuel?

if youre in debt, the worst idea is to add to it, you'll be lucky to do it for 1k, especially since man-auto REQUIRES a new computer (auto-man will run just cels) and with PATS that just frustrates things. Just sell the car if you need to lose some debt. It's doable but in your situation it's not wise

PATs isnt an issue. I have done this swap quite a few times. Its not cheap either. I agree, teach her to drive a MTX, everyone should be able to drive one. But if you do the swap, you would be able to recoupe most of your money by selling your parts as a swap the other way.

why not find her a clunker until she can afford something better get a nice old fiesta for 500 bucks. better than no car and then neither one of you is completely screwed out of a car, then when money is there to be spent you can buy a better car.

going manual to auto you will also need the radiator or else get really creative with mounting the auto trans fluid cooler.
