you can swap bottom ends with the svt im pretty sure, and therefore you changed motors and 30 or so more hp- and alot stronger parts for when you go turbo

the svt makes its power in the top end of the motor. the bottom is forged yes and the block has oil squirters. the svt has bigger cams and vct. replacing your stock bottom end will hold up to boost better but will not yield any power gains.

someone correct me if i am wrong

^^^That sounds right. All the SVt's power is made in the top end, hence differant manifolds, TB and other obivous stuff.

Yes the only swap you can do without changing the other stuff is a Ztec.

by changing the bottom end you therefore change the compression ratio also, it raises the compression and you should yield some more power-

the bottom ends are the same, just the svt is forged. with the same pistons and same rods and stuff it will not make any difference. i am not saying the pistons are the same because i dont know for sure. but i do know the svt is 10.2:1 and the regular zetec is 9.6:1. i would have thought the compression was increased from the pistons or the head/head gasket. i could be wrong though. not trying to offend anyone either.
