V8 Focus - Kugel Front Steering Spindle Conversion Question

Anyone who has done the V8 Kugel swap, can you take a look at the pics and help me out?

The first one is of my driver side front hub. You can see the caliper is towards the front of the vehicle and the steering arm at the back. It is a 2004 SVT.

Next picture shows the Kugel aluminum adaptors for the front steer conversion, again bolted onto the driver side spindle (viewed from the back). It drops the pick up point for the rack down about 5 inches. But the steering is still behind the wheel for me when I do this.

Here is someone else's Kugel conversion, driver side viewed from the front of the vehicle. On this set up it is now front steer, with the calipers behind the wheel.

Any suggestions as to where I am going wrong with this would be appreciated. All I can think is that I need to swap the left->right spindles to move the steering pickup point to the front and the calipers to the rear.

Switch sides

Hello,

Yep that is what you have to do, swap side to side. Of course they don't tell you that with the parts, actually they don't tell you much of anything when you get the parts! I have a set of the steering conversion parts if anyone is interested, I switched mine to Cobra spindles and won't be using mine.

As that's my picture I can confirm that you do swop left to right.

I posted that picture somewhere to show you have to use 17 inch wheels to clear the steering.
