I just need to know if i can drop a 2.0 Zetec DOHC from the same year into a SE 2.0 SOHC body and what will need to be changed other than the ECM and wiring harness. Example... crossmember, trans, etc. Anything that would need to be changed. ANy help is appreciated. THanks.

hey man, doing the same thinhg here but on a 2000.
SPI to ZETEC.
the auto trans fits all 2000-2004 SPI and ZETEC but not the manual.
Youll need the engine wire harness and ECU, youll need to wire up the fuel pump.
and most inmportant the right Engine mount to the DOHC. Bolts are about 1-1.5" apart than the SOHC.

any other thing you need PM me..

I don't mean to be rude if it appeared that way lol, just that we've had a TON of these threads popping up, all about the same thing..... all being answered too.

one way you could go is fastoemparts.com and rebuild the car to stock. I did a project report for my engine rebuild class with a turbo and auto trans with a reflash ECU it about 5-7 grand not including some things that a i have put on there which would take it 12 grand for splitport tuners.
