NA svt build

whats the highest compression i could run on pump gas?
93 octane.

i know k20 (civic si and rsx-s) have a 11:1 compression and can run on 91+

i have a spare svt engine that has a cracked piston, and its already out of the car. what else am i going to do?

yeah but FI is like 3 grand for a sc, and 6k for a good turbo setup.
before LSD.

i can build a high compression enginefor 1k.

I'm wanting to say between 10.5:1 to 11.0:1 would be safe on 93. But i have heard of people going higher. If you know your chamber sizes and what not. This site will help you to figure your CR. http://www.bgsoflex.com/cr.html

I live in a elevation of over 5000 feet, so running 91 octane is like running 93 octane @ low elevation. I would say 11:1 would be the max to run on 91/93. The SVTF is a interference engine with a factory compression of 10.1:1, so getting to 11:1 is going to be tricky especially with VCT. Tom would have the best advice on high compression pistons for the SVT.
