2jzgte focus

so my friend got a 2j from a local shop for a REAL good deal (aristo 2jzgte) and we are ready to start taking apart the zetec...he has a lot of money since he sold his other car and we plan on putting this 2j in his focus zx3

he needs

custom mounts
the shop is doing the wiring and custom work
gt47-88r
intercooler
custom pipes
turbo manifold
supra oil pan
individual coils (didn't come in the engine)
6speed transmission

he has

aristo motor (2jzgte)
tial waste gate
boost controller
boost gauge with pod
aem uego with pod
wiring harness
supra turbo auto trans (selling)
drag radials
work emotions

we have all the interior of the car already gutted and ready to take to the shop! we are going to get a estimate we aren't expecting it to be cheap but we'll have to see!

he wanted to do a cobra motor but I had to talk him out of that to get this engine...he ended up getting it for a good deal, and has A LOT of more potential than doing a v8 swap

we are definitely going to be seeing 600whp+

hoping to get 700-800whp w/ single turbo and stock internals on race gas making it hopefully the fastest focus in the U.S

then we'll call ANYONE out in the forums lol

.........wow....a 2jz in a focus. Have fun with that swap. I'm currently working on a getting a 2jzgte and throwing it in a 2nd gen supra.

That'll be a feat for you guys to accomplish, I demand a build thread with COUNTLESS amounts of pictures too....

now normally i would fly all to hell when i see that some1 is swapping a jap motor into a focus because there are so many morons who come out and ask stupid questions like "how much would it cost me to put a B16 VETEC into focus?" BUT THIS?!?! man i gotta hand it to you, if this works you will be a God among men. it seems like you have it fairly well planned out. have you decided what rear end you're going to use?

Where in Florida are you? I was at a shop in Tampa yesterday and they had 5 supras! One had the 7m out for a rebuild that they said put down 890 whp. All drag cars.

Could a straight 6 fit in our engine bay with radiator? Its going to be a tight fit.

Good luck with the build and I demand pictures by the boat load.

u could get way over 1000hp with the 4.6 v8. the inline 6 prbably wont fit unless u do major major firewall modification.

He's a little late for the fastest... 1turbofocus ran 10's in his 735whp turbo Focus... with a FOCUS engine in it. Joe Morgan has ran faster than that with his 2.3 SVO powered wagon.. and I know there are a couple faster than that.

But it is a cool side project.
