Average Clutch lifetime

Hey how long will a clutch normally last? Just curious. I got 30K on mine now...I am not really rough on it but I did 'learn" how to drive stick on this car...I imagine that fact alone will diminish its lifetime...LOL...got better but I am sure I loosened it up a bit! ;)

thanks,

JBZ

There is no clear-cut answer on how long clutches will last, it all depends on the driver.
Example: my wife and I have the SAME car. We drive the same conditions, the same roads, etc. However in her car the clutch needed to be changed at 50k miles, and I have 120k on the original clutch. it's all driver dependent.

I have 186,000 on the original clutch and it still "feels" fine.

I'm at 60k and mine has about 1.5 inches left of travel. Mine needs changing BAD!

But then again, I am running nitrous on mine and pushing the stock clutch to its absolute limit.

^^ Exactly. Funny thing is, it doesnt slip. At all. It bites super hard and holds up to the nitrous like a champ.
