well today when i started my care something blew. not sure yet i just droped it off at the dealer but what ever happend the intake was blown clean off the block. ive posted a few times on here and got good responses and stuff. i am bracing for the worst. i bought my svt used and it might be under warranty still cuz im only at 75k miles but i would like a guess to a low mile svt motor incase i have to swap

Check ebay. I was just looking and found a couple svt shortblocks (no head) for under $500.

If all it did was blow the intake off, the motor is most likely still fine. You probably just need a new plastic intake.

What?!?!?! The remaining warranty should have been transfered to you when you bought the car. Thats how it works.

remember though, unless ur gonna mount up an MTX to the SVT, you have to do a tranny swap, axles, cv's, etc. plus the ECU. so ur talkin about 2k in parts if you can do it urself.

they most likely wont know if you have a different set of headers, now if your talking about a ORP that might throw a flag

FInd a freind in the area with a svt and barrow his header/cat assembly for a couple days while your car is getting repaired. If they see ANYTHING not stock on your car they will call that modification the reason it blew. Unless it is a ford approved mod it will make them throw a stink about it.
