Just thinking about new engine..

I was just thinking, instead of buying a Turbo ($3000) CAI ($250) Exhaust ($600) Headers ($400) why not buy a Crate Engine? You will have a lot more base HP for about the same price as the above..

Like the 302 engine M-6007-XEFMS which is $5,295 and comes with 340HP..

Would it be cost effective? Was just thinking..

I dont see why you would get a turbo AND a CAI but not everyone has $5000 to drop at once

Cheaper????

I dont think so.... you for getting the extra $6,000 for the V 8 swap kit plus everything else you need.... like transmission, rear end, tires, wheels, fuel cell and the list goes on and on.

a v-8 conversion is like 15g's or more that is buying scrap parts, kugel component has alot of the base parts like engine cradle, rear end cradle etc..

you still need rear end, drive shaft engine +++ accesories,

if you want to save some money buy a wrecked 5.0 and use all the parts 4rm it you can and buy the rest 4rm kugel

your still looking at like 6k with out the price of the 5.0, just to get 300hp

your better of building your engine, clutch, flywheel, lsd, and a custom turbo fuel system making 300++

and you will spend less money on it, i was thinking about the v-8 swap but i changed my mind its not worth it.

hope this helps
