BLASPHEMY!!

it would be cheaper to actually buy the car with whatever motor and build it that way. i know he wants something "unique", but I would not tarnish my focus with a torqueless honda motor. lol. but if hes got the dough, and really wants to do this, then by all means. gonna take A LOT of homework.

While I agree that it's silly to put another Japanese brand engine in the Focus, UH the Duratec was chiefly designed by Mazda........

If I were going to throw $$ at a project to put one of those other Japanese engines in a Focus, I'd make it a RWD convesion and dump a sick Honda engine and trans in the hatch keeping the independant rear suspension, and if you want to go turbo, you have all the room you need for plumbing and a monster intercooler. Adding that weight over the rear of a RWD is not so bad for handling like it can be for hanging all the turbo parts on a FWD with extra weight way over the front wheels.

good idea!...but yes after talking about it with my friend...it could be done but he won't have as much money left to go for big power on the k20 (full race kit)...that's what I guess we would of gone with....and just letting you know I am a focus owner...I love my focus...I know what is capable and not capable of but a k20 engine more reliable, powerful, efficient and has more potential over our zetec/duratec engines...that's reality...but I love smoking the ones I can :) lol

I think the Taurus SHO would be a better swap, and easier.
