SVT shortblock for zetec

can you use a svt short block with the stock zetec head and mtx75 tranny?

if so, i could do this alot cheaper than building my bottom end.

I dont' see why you couldn't from my understanding you can put the svt head on a zetec short block so dont see why you couldn't go the other way.

Yes you can. I would ask what your goals are though. If they are above and beyond 300-350whp I'd question it.

i think there is a prob. with the stock zetec pcm controlling the VCT in the svt head. but if you wanted to swap pcm's maybe it could be done

If you delete the VCT Sprocket and plug up the VCT Sensor hole it is possible.

Yeah I know you have to do a pcm swap but I was saying in general terms. I've read of it being done somewhere, Sorry I did not clarify that.

Would you just like a set of rods and pistons out of an SVT block? I just tore one apart to build a turbo short block and have no use for them.
