Question about the SVT Focus

I work at a Ford dealership but had never seen an SVT Focus until the other day when I was at the wreckers getting a part for my brother in laws truck. I glanced at a silver Focus with nice rims. Then I noticed the wheels said SVT. I didn't have time to look at it but ended up going back the next day to check it out. Everything is there except for the Pass., door. Motor, tranny, full interior, etc. I wrote down a few things that I thought I'd get to sell. I ended up buying the rims, 3 only for $200Can. When I asked how much for the leather seats w/blue inserts I quickly took out my wallet. $150Canadian for front and back seats as well as the back panels with blue inserts. Thats like $45 USD.LOL I need to go back and get the door panel as well. Maybe the steering wheel too. I am wondering about the motor thats in this thing. They want $800 for the motor and 6 speed tranny. I think thats a killer deal. Whats the best article to check out for the best instructions on what is needed to do the swap. It looks like it has an aftermarket throttle body. I've enclosed a pic of it. Does it look familiar to anyone? I'm wondering if its an aftermarket header as well. If not, wow thats a nice piece being stock for the SVT. The one on this car doesn't look pretty but its pretty big diameter tubing. I bought this stuff to sell. Now I've found a 2000 ZX3 for $1000 Canadian. She said her work supplies a car now so she is selling this one. I'm going to look at it tomorrow and see what its like. I think I may pick it up and swap the stuff over

looks like a focus sport TB. very good price on the interior. as far as the engine i was wondering the same thing. i have a 00 focus zx3 that i was thinking about doing an svt swap in. im sure if you get the mounts along with the axles then it should all bolt up. also will need shift linkage. now as far as wiring im not sure. if you can get the engine, tranny, intake and header along with all acessorys like alternator and ac compressor for 800 i would def jump on it.

The throttle body is either a Focus Central or a CFM throttle body, most likely a 65mm. You will need the computer and everything out of the SVT if you are going to put it in a ZX3.

Why not buy the whole car? Used TB's go for around $100USD. That's a good deal on the seats... to bad they weren't all black with the word RECARO on the front seats....

Also please advise the rules about selling on this forum. You don't meet the minimum requirements yet.

In that case...Moved to "Engine & Transmission Swap"
There should already be some good threads to read on the subject in this same forum area.

BTW, nice find on the car and parts.
Good luck with the swap.
