Duratec swap

So I've had two SPI engines blow up on me, and my Focus is just sitting in the yard, looking all pitiful and what not. So I think I'm going to find a salvaged 05-07 Fofo and swap out the whole drivetrain. Would this work? As far as I know, the only difference between my body style and the 05-07 is the front-end, but I want to know for sure.

Of course it would work... But it will require some money, lots of time, and patience. I believe everything will work as long as you get axles, rotors, etc. You will also have to swap the computer out, maybe the entire wire harness. Not sure, but good luck. Someone on here posted a link to craigslist that had a salvaged 2nd gen focus with the motor. Not sure where.

A manual tranny is a requirement, which means I'm going to have to wait until a salvage with one pops up. There's one on eBay right now for $300, but it's an auto.
