08 SES auto. trans.

Do any of you guys know if the 08 auto. trans. can be tweaked to have the
1-2-D-N-R-P instead of L-D-N-R-P? The older Foci have the 1-2 instead of L
and I've been wondering if this was electronically controlled or done by the shifter linkage? I don't know if the older shifter and linkage would work/fit on an 08 either. The 08 will take off in 1 but won't stay in 1 very long before shifting into 2 when put in L.

An ecu tune should let it stay in 1st longer. I have a tune on my ecu for my tranny, but mine is 05.

Just heard back from the guys at lentech. They said their valve body would work and that the shift pattern shouldnt make any diff. It definetly would shift better. not sure if it would hold first any longer, that might be controlled by the computer. hopefully they will come out with tunes for the 08's.
