what kind of trany fluid

i have a 01 ford focus se 5 speed, well i did my 1st clutch i am putting in the trany back in but i dnt know what type of fluid i should use, someone told me use gear oil and then others told me use regualr automatic trany fluid and then i had one say use regular oil, so can someone plz help me out i dnt know i should use and what type it has to be

You want to use Manual Transmission fluid and nothing else. You can use Royal Purple Synchromax ,it's for manual transmissions. DO NOT use auto trans fluid. There are other brnads as well just have to look around.

make sure you use synthetic manual transmission fluid--- ford has their own but its like 35 bucks a quart--- its a higher viscosity than normal --- something like 75-80w but dont quote me on that :) not 100% sure on the weight
