motor swap ideas

ok basicall i don't know enough about different motors to know what will and won't work

hopefully this will be forgotten by the time i do it since i'm making a sleeper but anyways..

in the end i want a v6 with a turbo.. but without any MAJOR body changes.. no intake scoops or fender faring..

what motors would most likely i'm going to have a shop do it since i've never done a swap and it's also my daily driver

i've heard about the contour motor but yeah little underpowered to me.. unless there's something new since i drove one..

also i've seen the mini v8's.. and i know they make one that will fit.. what is everone's OPINION on that.. do you think it will have enough hp gain even with the smaller pistons... and be worth the work.. i'm hoping to keep it under 10k to swap the motor and tranny..

V8 all the way.. If you are going to do the swap... DO THE SWAP...

rear-wheel drive conversion and a stroked 302... MAD

ok but did you miss the stock look that i wanted to keep .. if i do a rear wheel swap the suspension will need to be lifted a little.. and the rear dif will be seen easily.. you tell me how to make it still look stock.. and i'll do it..

check out the RS8 and ZX351 for that.

i'm doing the 2.5L V6 swap myself. altho i hear that a 3L V6 block with 2.5L heads makes 300 hp, toss on a turbo an you'll be laying down some serious numbers.

or you can do a SHO V6 swap, but its a BIG bitch. no exterior mods, but the engine bay requires modding.

i guess you can SVT swap it....

but if you're going to spend enough money to do a swap its worth it to just move up. cause if you're already gonna be buying a new engine and trans, might as well get something with a little more kick than the SVT engine, not to say that the SVT engine is a slouch.

i blew my Zetec, so that's why i'm doing a V6 swap. its gonna end up costing me a little more than it would've cost to have a professional put in another Zetec.

3.8l mustang motor with a ranger 4.3 crank. built motor, heads, cams, intake manifold, twin turbo set up. ford 8.8 rear end.

easily hideable. get kugels rear end kit with coilovers, lower it and get like an SAP rear bumper that hangs lower, done.

youd have a 12second street car with twin turbos and a nasty cammed v6.

there is a 4.3 crank for the mustangs that is apparently out of a ranger...
