Sr20det engine in a focus?

Apparently if your in the drifting community such as I you knowthat the beautiful Sr20det engine belongs to the Nissan Silvia a.k.a. number 2 drift car in the world since a focus was turned into a v8 amazingly awesome monstrosity, can it be made into a drift car? all it need is a RWD and wiring right?

Said before, and said again, you can do anything with enough money...

I think its possible to make the switch, in fact i think ive seen one before (may have been an SR25 though) search the forums because I think i saw it here, but my question would be.... WHY?? there are already other RWD swap options out there that would make more sense - 4.6l, 5.0l, 2.3l - if you are worried about weight, there are aluminum blocked versions available, and in the end it would cost less than the effort of swapping in a nissan engine, trans, wire harness, ECU, gauges, etc. and the custom mounting situation, maybe you should check out those options before you attempt to get a sr20det, an engine which demands a much higer premium than a more readily available engine, yeah its a great engine, but umm its just not a good move, unless you have the money, in which case you may as well just import a skyline....

stick with your engine.

you've created 3 threads about sticking other engines in the focus.

not to sound mean, but with how biased you are on what engine you want in your focus, i highly doubt it'll ever be modified enough to consider an engine swap.

i need the easiest and cheapest way to get a drifting focus that can pull high RPMs and Torque. Ken Gushi has a mustang gt and he is the youngest D-1 Drifter. thinking about another domestic car in formula D is crazy!

The chepaest way is not to do it, A hatchback is not made to drift its got a horible center of gravity and not the greatest wheel base to make it a drifter car

and there is other domestic cars in formula D, Theres a Viper a Solstice and a charger
