need clutch advise

ok so about two months ago I got my clutch replaced with a centerforce dual friction clutch. so anyways I notice a chattering noise from it when it is warm. I don't notice it wen I'm in the car but when I set the starter and get out I hear it. it wasn't bad when It was colder, i thought it was the valves at first, but today i really noticed it and poped the hood. well it is coming from near the tranny and now you can hear it when you rev up as well but the engine drowns it out alot. anyways I pushed the clutch pedal to the floor and it stops. I let it out and it starts again.

does anyone know what this could be since it is really pissing me off

the clutch pressure plate and slave where all changed when the tranny was out, the only thing I can figure is it is either the starter is to far in and needs to be shimmed, the slave is to close to the pressure plate fingers, te clutch was put in backwards if that is possible, or the fly wheel needed to be machined

the mechanic that did said it had something to do with reverse gear.

does any on have any Ideas if all I need to do is adjust my shifter then I'm more then willing to do it since I don't know if he did it right when he put the tranny back in. do you even need to realign the shift linkages when you pull the tranny.

My stock clutch did this after about 50,000Km I didn't have any problems except for the noise. Did you get your flywheel machined when you replaced the clutch? Also did you replace the pilot bearing?

The centerforce clutch can be put in backwards, however, I am not sure if this could cause the problem.

the mechanic said the fly wheel was ok so i didn't have to get it machied, and there isn't a pilot bearing in the tranny so no. the throw out bearing got replaced with the slave since they are on and the same.

The pilot bearing is on the end of the crankshaft not on the transmission. It usually costs less then $20 so it is worth replacing anytime you have the tranny off the engine.

The flywheel is stock?
I have a fidanza flywheel. It has a knocking noise, but when the clutch is down its gone. And its advertised when you buy it that you will hear noise. Your's might be the same way. Just a thought
