emergency help!!!

ok so i was driving yesterday
when i went to park
i reversed into the parking then i put it in nutural
then somehow i only have 1,and 2nd gear the shifter only goes up and down to 1 and 2
i have a tiny notch of nutural

what do u guys think it is???

can i put any focus transmission on my car ex. mtx75 instead of a ib5?

mtx-75 is on zetecs... 00-04 i know that... its on the newer ones too i believe.

MTX-75 is on both the Zetecs and the Duratecs, and an ib5 will not interchange.

But before you go pulling trannys it sounds to me like you probably have a simple shift linkage problem... check the links on the tranny first, then check the bottom of your shifter (you'll have to pull the console first), but I'll bet it's on the tranny end...

yup i already looked under the boot
then i also looked under the front of the car where that plastic cover is
and everything seemed normal

its internal tranny
