Another SPI to 2.3 L

Hey i am looking into doing the ^^ above. I have an SPI right now. It has been recently rebuilt along with my tranny. My friend had recently wrecked his focus and pretty much is giving me a sweet deal on his tranny and motor (2.3L duratec) with 70,000 miles. I was thinking of selling my motor and tranny for w/e i could get pretty much and have the duratec and tranny installed. Would this be worth it? Trying to sell my current motor and tranny. I know i'm gonna need professional help when doing the swap. So idk where or who i can trust as far as prices and work.

if you need a shop to do it. i would look in the phone book and then start asking around... but im sure sinse this isnt a common swap, it'll cost alot and im sure they will want you to provide ALL of the parts, PCM, harness, mounts etc etc.

okay, im an idiot, im editing right now. Okay done, read on.

Since your friend wrecked the car, you might as well buy the whole shell from him because there are a few parts you might forget about. There are SO MANY things you have to change.

Passenger motor mount
motor and trans
throttle cables
fuel lines
vac lines
exhaust manifold

thers prolly more than that list...

Labor charges would probably amount to something close to buying another car. And the swap will take at least 3 working days for a shop.

most shops wouldnt touch this with a 50 ft pole, and the rest will either charge you too much, mess up. or charge you too much and mess up.
