2.3 into a 00 zx3

Ok i want to swap a 2.3 into my 00zx3. The car has the zetec into it now. How hard and what do i need to swap the 2.3 into it.

Try and find an ST that was totaled from behind. Donor cars are the best way to go, unless you have the cash to drop on everything new.

Seriously, I'd do a SVT swap for what you're going to spend/go through. Forged rods, oil squirters and raised compression > .3L more displacement. And it'll require less parts since the SVT and Zetec engines are faily similar...you could either retain your current transmission (stands to reason that if you can go from MTX-75 to Getrag you can go the other way) or pick up the Getrag 6-speed.

^^^Nah... go with the duratec 2.3L.

Other concern would be the instrument panel working with the ECU from a duratec.
