It's been done. It's a lot of work that a lot of people say ins't worth it (not me, this is actually what may be in store for my car way down the road--that or a built ATX). However, to find a list of parts, just do a search on the forums for 'ATX to MTX swap,' or 'transmission swap,' or anything like that, and there will be your answer.

I would rather just get a manual FoFo and avoid all the major work. But...if you can pull it off, more props to ya!

Wow....I'm impressed.... I heard it would be cheaper and easier to just go out and buy a manual focus....

A built ATX may get better shifts than an MTX...but the manual would be so much more fun...it gives every car the 'go-kart factor.'

This is true .The "go-kart" factor... anyway i own a 5sp 2000 se. and i love it, face it the focus in america is slow very slow into day's market, Move to Europe though and it's a diffrent story. My opion though is kid your wasting your money on the swap, but hell in all actuality were all wasting our time on the so called foci! Is what we have all heard once or twice... So do what you want but just remeber in the long run they will always beat us so if you want to shift faster or slower do it by all means, Just remember you will always lose.
