Prob. means tuning (ECU & TCM if applicable for the MkIII).

But for all I know there's an internet rumor (legend) about PCM reset for 'hidden power'.

Even if you do a reset if the learning is left on which it would be then it goes right back to where it was in about 30-50 miles

FORscan currently has the ability to do the adaptive relearn procedure for the DCT if that is what OP might be wanting FORScan forum ? View topic - How to perform Powershift 6DCT250 (DPS6) adaptive learning,

which is four separate procedures that must complete or you will likely have an inoperative car. but the adaptive relearn is part of the TCM, and not the PCM i believe.
