Exclamation TOO LOUD!! (how not to get a ticket)

Greetings FF, I've been lurking here as a non member for a while, but was hoping to get some insight.

I'm running an OBX header straight piped through 2.25" and it is LOUD. I'm talking it sounds like the exhaust is in the car. LOL And to me I don't mind, but what i'm worried about is the LEOs. So, if I was to get a cat back to prevent a ticket, I had three in mind.

FSWERKS Stealth (if race won't quiet it enough to prevent LEO attention, I like drone)
OBX Catback
J2 catback.
In that order.

Another thing i'm considering is a resonator.

For the exhaust I have a $500 limit so any help is appreciated. Again, I don't mind the sound, I just mind the fact that it's a ticket waiting to happen.

I'm open to suggestions besides getting a catback.

racecar

PS catless until 2019.

is the straight pipe mandrel bent? if so just weld in a res and a muffler, it will quiet it down a bit and make the tone not so raspy. Alot cheaper probably ~200-250$ for both but then you need to find someone to weld it in. I know alot of shops won't touch a car without a cat, so you might need to throw your stock manifold back on to get it done or have a buddy do it for you.

Personally I prefer magnaflow though i'm partial since thats what i have

I know someone that works at a shop that will touch the catless car. :)

Great suggestion, man! Because I looked up borla and it appeared out of my price range. I think this suggestion may be the ticket!

Reinstall your cat and you'll probably quiet down quite a bit and get some back pressure for your lowend since I'd be betting your car is probably a tad slower to 60mph with too much flow.

Seeing you are in Cali and you do get the attention of the po-po and an officer looks under your car for some odd reason and sees you have no cat in place you are looking at a couple thousand dollar ticket. Run the cat,you aren't seeing a real world performance gain on a NA engine in the real world.

Idk if it's the RMM or what, but my car actually feels like it pulls better than ever now and my MPG actually went up switching headers. Win win.

Good point though, man. That's what i'm afraid of. Cops are common. However, unless this is all the RMM, I wouldn't say no gains. It definitely pulls harder now.

If I go afk you know what happened. They heard my exhaust

Catless? I have no idea where that's at though. I don't live near Chicago anymore. lol I used to live in Kendall County.
