The Focus Power/Power Ready Full Turbo Kit Install and Review you've been waiting for

I still do not have dyno numbers for anyone but it's not fair to Tom and all of you that have been waiting semi-patiently for this to keep putting it off.

Do not expect a smooth "ecoboost" power delivery like you would find in a turbo charged Escape or other cars like it.

It's slightly more violent.

The car is a 6 speed auto with select shift.

7-8psi of boost. Spools up around 3k and power delivery is pretty smooth and linear.

I can spin the tires in 1st and 2nd.

Top speed so far: 110 MPH and the engine felt like it would have no problems going even further.

I have over 1000 miles on it now and it's been pretty good so far.

The extra power will make the exhaust rattle A LOT. I installed COBB exhaust hangers that are more sturdy.

I also installed the FSWERKS lower engine mount. Not the hardcore racing one though.

Here is the car it's installed on:

Here is a small video: https://youtu.be/Zw6tzG2HbUc

The install was pretty daunting for someone who hasn't done it before and no directions were available. However, we got it done in about 48 hours with access to a lift. (time on the Disabled List for brain surgery not factored in).

Intercooler:

Connecting the turbo and manifold:

The stock exhaust is removed from above by loosening the passenger side engine mount and moving the engine forward.

The turbo and manifold is also installed from above.

Oil return from the turbo goes into where the oil pan drain plug used to be.
