Lunchbox delete with resonator replacement

Anyone done this kind of setup? I am currently running a lunchbox delete with no muffler replacement.

Has anyone got any videos up with the middle resonator being replaced by a small magnaflow or glassback?

For how cheap the glassbacks are it may be well worth the money to see the result.

Let me know what you all think

I know it's a very ricy sound if you remove that stock resonator and run a aftermarket muffler..not sure about a stock one...I'm sure replacing with an aftermarket resonator
will sound a lot better then nothing there at all.

Subbed, and free bump.

Also, my own two cents: For the $30, I think Thrush glasspacks sound great. I bet if you used a long one you would like it.

Please do! I've noticed a lot of threads on this forum where people start a project but never report back on their findings. Drives me crazy, ha. I've heard videos of the rear most muffler swapped out for a Thrush glasspack and it sounded great.

I'm having my exhaust done soon and would have used a Thrush, but wanted dual tailpipes on opposite sides of my bumper.

I'm sure the thrush resonators I bought were not glasspacks, because glasspacks break down over time and get louder..and they were more expensive then glasspacks which were like 30-40bucks each (8 years ago)...the resonators were $60 each...they were perforated core and never got any louder over time (had them in for 6 years). BUT they were painted red and looked very similar to the cherry bombs, except thicker around the body of it

You know, everyone says that, but I had a Thrush glasspack on my old F-150 and it never got louder. If it did, it happened so slow and so little I didn't notice it.

Little off topic, but does anyone have any pictures or diagrams or what our factory mufflers look like inside?

Keep me updated. I have an appointment this Friday to have an 18'' Magnaflow dual out installed on mine. I'll post a write up once it's done.
