Drop-in Air Filter

With the snorkel delete, what drop in do people prefer? Or recommend? Better noise? Better throttle response?

K&N seems to be the most popular and readily available choice. I use one.

Does it make a decent sound? I want to have a little added noise from the engine

It has a nice noticeable growl when you really get on it but it's not screaming anytime you touch the throttle.

I prefer the AEM dry flow because it filters better than a K&N and provides better flow than a paper filter. You also do not have to oil it so no cleaning & oiling kit necessary. There's also no chance of fouling your MAF sensor.

I have the AEM Dryflow in mine. Love it, and I don't stress on oil gunking up the MAF

So,any tests on the AEM for claimed airflow plus filtration compared to OEM?

How is the noise output?

If you want more noise, you need to get the open ended drop in filter. "Green Filter" has an open ended filter, and I think K&N has one too, but the Green Filter I know for sure is open ended. Way louder they say. I have the closed ended AEM drop-in. It sounds near perfect to me, but if you want louder, don't go for the AEM, or closed K&N for that matter.

When I left the air box lid off, there was a loud growl with the AEM dry filter. With the lid on, I notice no difference.
