I think there is underdriven crank pullies, thought I saw an intake manifold, but I think thats for racing applications...Tom is working on a bolt-on turbo kit apparently...there must be top end upgrades, oversize valves, stiffer valve springs...you can get headwork done, port and polish, valvegrind, portmatching....performance costs money, now how fast do you want to go! :)

The money isn't a huge deal but its hard to talk myself into dropping say 20k into a 27k dollar car.

Plus by the time its said and done I could an Audi S6 or even a used GTR for what I have in the Focus lol

I need to stop being indecisive just do the basic bolt ons and a tune. Keep it dependable and buy a race car if I want a race car

Good advice, I usually keep my cars for a long time, so I do suspension and performance mods over a long time as I can afford them...its fun to change a
stock car into a modded one, its kind of rewarding..if you are not into taking your car apart and doing these things, you are probably better off just keeping a car stock...

I am in the dilemna of having my wife want to drive my focus, so I cannot make it loud and vibrate like crazy or a beast to drive... Ill probably just do header, exhaust w highflow cat, resonator and muffler thats not superloud..intake, motor mount insert only, possibly cams...tuning. And some suspension upgrades steeda rear sway bar, possibly ford racing package.

$27,000?! $20,000?!

I bought mine new for $19,000. I have a build plan of $2,000. Grand total of $21,000. Seems reasonable to me.

I dont think there are any top end upgrades readily available for these cars yet. I think there are some one off items floating around but I haven't really seen anything out yet. I would also be interested in a mild NA setup if anyone made parts lol.

I have been thinking of a used ST also. Nice black one with 10k at my work now greets me every time I come in.

I am only lacking the header and tune of the previous upgrades and was curious as to what the "ceiling" might be for our cars... Is it unreasonable to think we could keep pace with a stock fiesta st ? I feel that could be quite respectable ... Any input is appreciated.
