I did the newmission mod on a steeda crammed in a stock box and I do not have any of the issues with sluggishness. So there is a lot of air going into my engine. Are we talking about cruising or WOT, I have torque data for my MAF CFM for both, cruising at 60 seems to average around 180CFM on my setup under WOT 500-800CFM

The MAF should be able to compensate for more air flow by dumping more fuel into the cylinders, and more power.
correct.. looked at some FAQs and CAI intakes don't add any new air flow as long as the stock piping size is used. I'll run the KN for a while. My sluggishness is non existent as long as I can keep the filter on...

I think our cars are getting to much air with the cai, making them run sluggish.

I'm going to call kn when I get a day off and see if I can have something to mount into the maf sensor vs just the filter on it. Also going to ask if they'll buy me a new engine if ford proves the kn made it blow up lol ;)

So they do have a tune for the auto focus now?

So I finally got a day off to do a full inspection of the intake assembly... and when I popped the hood (just checked 2 nights ago) the filter was working its way off.. again.

It seems the bottom left corner of the maf sensor housing is cracked inward and the filter will not stay on due to that. I am on the live chat right now with a KN rep to see if he can help me with anything.. Probably will call tomorrow. Anyone have the parts number for the MAF housing? im sure the sensor is a fortune.

Part #BV6Z 9B642 A

I wouldn't bother with K&N. The housing is a $5 part. You shouldn't need a new sensor.

Don't over-tighten it this time. I cracked my first one too, and have been running the replacement for 20K+ miles with no issues.

Thanks buddy.. I talked to Troy from KN over the phone and he gave me the part number. Yeah I won't need a new sensor, he told me it was due to over tightening it. Funny thing is, when it fell off the clamp was still on the filter so I thought i just UNDER tightened it... I'm having trouble keeping the filter on now with it being cracked. Think any local dealerships would have it on site?
