That was gonna be another question. Driving styles with the intakes.
I don't do much WOT but I enjoy a good acceleration every now and again. lol

I think wantz12 is mistaking the Steeda intake for the FSWerks.

Here's the LINK
This shootout is why I chose to go with K&N actually.. totally forgot about it. the dyno numbers were insane.. pretty sure it was a dct tranny too. Steeda can't be far behind.. possibly ahead.

EDIT: and I've also had my K&N on since I've bought the car.. so roughly 11 k on it and zero issues at all.. Except a lead foot ;)

His Dyno numbers were unlike anything anybody else has seen, 15-20HP gains from just an intake, but they were all consistently high, so as a comparison it still is valid, his hate of Steeda though is why he didn't test that one.

He should have tested it anyway. I hate when people test something but don't do a full range because of a stupid bias.

Yeah I used to mock all of my friends who claimed to gain "15 to 20 horsepower" from an intake... Kind of thought it was absurd. Then I stumbled on that thread and was blown away.. People dyno their cars with intakes outside of that thread and they achieve those numbers, regardless of transmission.

I think Steeda makes quality stuff. I got the ST RMM and I think its top of the line as far as mounts go.

Uh, I thought it was because no one agreed to buy it after the test. The other brands were spoken for so he got those. No one else agreed to buy the used intake.

I read about that in the thread also, however people still complained about bias. I don't know the tester well enough to try and even fathom what his motives are. I wish it had been tested too. People will always cry wolf though, even when the tester tries to rid himself of all bias.
Personally, I'm not tied down by brand. Give me the best value performer and I'm set.
