I get 39 MPG and this is on a car with less that 1k miles on it. Hope to get better when its get more broke in.
For some of us, your location could be a game changer....like CA has crappy gas, but elsewhere, gas used makes a big difference....IMO!

UPDATE: Tranny making sound when shifting from 1st to 2nd, only sometimes, started after 8,200 miles so something is loosing up or ,maybe, need another TSB for the tranny. On the plus note, I do get 34-37 highway on 18's and 39psi, with winter gas.

My 2013 5 speed has declined a little bit in MPG. Right after my snorkel delete and air filter swap to Green, I was getting about 39 on my way to school which includes flat roads at the beginning and lots of hills at the end. Now it's getting about 34 on my drive to school. Most likely it's due to my change in driving style. Average speed was probably around 70.

Will you be heading to your dealer about the noise while shifting, pintoman?

Please let me know, and I'll check out some options.

I drive 90 mile round trip everyday for work. 10 or so of that is city driving and 80 miles of highway. Somewhat obeying the 30-45mph city speed limits (with mildly aggressive acceleration) and keeping it between 70-75mph on the highway I am averaging 37ish mpg. I filled up today with 1/4 tank left and it estimated 441 miles until empty. When I drive 80-85mph on the highway its usually around 32-34mpg.

SGM SE mean Sterling Grey Metallic Sport Edition......I had the update on my '13 and my mpg hasn't changed a bit but have been driving it differently
(like with a clutch)....are you sure that maybe you are using a different gas or winter gas....just suggesting!

LOL, Yep mine to SGM. 2012 SEFF. No ain,t the Gas 93 octane since New and 75% Non Ethanol. My Focus used to Flat out Fly. Triple digits many times and I bet on a closed course would go to that 150 Mark on the Speedo. Unless the Transmission exploded .

Have you considered doing a Decarbon tune up on the valves?

I would rather trade it in for a ,13 or 14 ST to tell the truth. And really 95% of my miles are HiWay and running93 Octane I don,t feel carbon is an issue here. We have a stretch of road on my way to work that I can open it up from time to time into the triple digit area . The DCTS Transmission is the fault here , What a Crappy way to do Business I feel.
