Ford had to get mine from about 600 miles away. Im in the DC area and there are a lot of ford dealers around a lot of them. There where no white 5spds hatches around. toook a while to find it. but i got it!

I just took a little trip up the foothills in the twisties and I can't imagine it being half as fun with the DCT;this car rows through gears quite nicely and they got worked today. I can't say my wife was having as much fun as I was.

Oh it is, I got a mk3 SE hatch with ksport coilovers and looking at doing a full steeda sway bar set up in the spring. With just the coils its a wicked fun ride.

I drove the DCT and didn't like it much. 5-speeds were hard to find in CA, and even harder if you were picky on colors and options. Mine ended up coming from Denver to get what I wanted - but at least I got it.

Me for 4. Actually this thing pulls hard to redline it really needs to have the limiter raised to find the true power output for sure. I'm thinking the valvesprings might be limiting factor but without knowing the specs. on them it's hard to tell for sure. Maybe Turbofocus "Tom" knows more about the internals on this engine. If I had some spare cash I'd buy a salvage motor just to tear into it I know were there is a smashed one just don't know how much they would want for it.

It is true that the engine pulls hard on the top end. Who revs their engine out in every gear? What we need is more mid range power. I am wanting a fuel controller to smooth out the notchy power curve. I am certain the problem is in the fuel controller. The guys at the Ford dealer says that the ECU isn't throwing a code. Blablabla.
