Thanks bro! This is certainly staying on the life of the car, as long as I have it.

Have the MPG stayed higher then it was with the stock setup? Also has the tone changed from what you can tell, and have you tried a bigger pipe going into the intake housing?

-MPG has stayed high....when I don't get on it.

-The tone isn't noticeable anymore after the lunchbox delete. Though still there of course. I feel they complement each other quite nicely.

-Now the pipe that runs to the front is 3" inside diameter. And is a tight squeeze to get by the radiator and frame structure. Any bigger, and you would just be pinching off the hose. I must note though. A hard pipe will not fit through to the front. Unless smaller than 3". I have since swapped the red cone for a black one I came across. Looks very clean and professional. Many think it's stock.

Very cool, have you made any changes to the front triangle grill? or does it still have the holes?

No, I still have the same K&N filter, just swapped the intake cone from red to black.

I did elongate the holes in front. I'm not really looking for a full open grille area, so it will remain with the holes even it performance is effected. I've thought about leaving it completely open when I had it out to drill the holes, but it just threw off my Chi. Unless I could completely enclose that area with a fabricated scoop of some kind, then I would leave it full open. Which may be down the road.

Didn't do any R&D with it completely off because that was never my intention. But physics would say it would make a huge difference I would suspect.

Be sure to post some pics!

I think that the existing RamAir could be improved upon, but some of the jury rigging that people do for .6 mpg change.

Now if you could modify the existing air inlet and run a hose under the airbox.

Example in link.
