FSwerks Stealth vs Street Performance

so I know the Street performance exhaust by FSwerks keeps the front cat in place, whereas the stealth takes it out if I'm understanding the website correctly.

i've listened to a bunch of videos on youtube, most were stealth and very few street performance videos exist. The price of the street performance has me wanting to do that (im in canada, with the exchange right now the stealth would cost about $750 shipped)

I'm just wondering if the street performance will really change the sound enough or if I'll just regret not getting the stealth.

we do have pretty strict police in the city I work in, and they crack down during summer on modded vehicles so that also has me thinking of going with the street performance to keep noise a little lower.

does anyone here actually have the street performance that can chime in on sound?

I did the resonator delete and really it still sounds stock to me where videos on youtube made it sound totally different. this has me not trusting youtube for sound lately lol.

You're a bit confused. None of the exhausts remove the cat. They are cat-back exhausts.

That said, you'll be happy with the stealth. The race exhaust drones A LOT. The stealth is pretty tame with daily driving and gives enough sound when you wanna get into it.

What mods do you have to justify the exhaust?

"For Duratec Focus owners who wish to have an exhaust that is 100% C.A.R.B. legal in all 50 states, we are now offering our FSWerks Street exhaust system. Some Duratec Focus models have two catalytic converters, with the second being in the middle portion of the car. Our Stealth and Race versions of our exhaust keep the primary catalytic converter that is part of the exhaust manifold, but will eliminate the secondary unit further down. This option will keep the second converter in place and allow you to remain completely street legal if your Focus had two catalytic converters from the factory."

Nothing yet. Main goal is sound, and future I'll have an intake and tune.

You just phrased it differently in the original post, saying that the front CAT was maintained by one & deleted by the other system.

Front CAT that's part of the exh. manifold assy. stays with both, extra central CAT for PZEV versions only can be affected by the exh. systems.

So are you wanting to keep a convertor? I'd throw a fwerks header, flex w/ a magnaflow convertor after the flex= that'd give you hp/mpg & your exhaust tone your looking for.

A header is the opposite of the sound I am looking for lol.

I decided to skip exhaust for now though. Doing audio system instead.

Header will give more power. But will require a tune.
